The ‘Out of the Woods’ competition is run annually by the Fine Woodworking Association of Western Australia and is held at the ‘Pattern Shop’ at the old Midland Railway Workshops.
Students must be nominated by a teacher/trainer and this year, Adrian nominated Jack in the Year 10 category. It was open to any design and Jack’s piece was a fine timber entry table. The school-based categories include entries for student in Years 10, 11 and 12.
Jack’s wonderful creation won the Year 10 category and he was awarded a trophy plaque, a certificate, a gift bag from the major sponsor Beyond Tools and a $50 gift voucher for Beyond Tools.
